Darius Pettway “Life Skool” Leadership Workshop is for middle and high school students who are seeking opportunities to expand and deepen their group and individual leadership skills to positively impact their own lives and community. This three-hour course will challenge students to discover who they are by effectively applying the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, time management, feel and show empathy for others, establish positive relationships and make responsible decisions. Using a relationship first approach we are sure to help students unlock their full potential. Our leadership class will expose students to the qualities of a good leader, while also allowing students to put these skills into practice in classroom and community settings.
Other important topics of conversation will include: Self- empowerment, conflict resolution, self-control; healthy relationships; positive communication; determination; college and career opportunities; bullying prevention; healthy boundaries, and most importantly, relationship building with students.
